You can visit the Gift Shop free of charge.
There are DISCOUNTS FOR PRE-BOOKED GROUPS – please contact the museum for further details.
Unfortunately dogs are not allowed into the museum (with the exception of assistance dogs).
Disabled Access
The museum is located on Castle Hill which is approached via a steep but accessible hill. There is a lift which can take you onto each floor. However there are three steps down to the disabled toilet and temporary exhibition gallery which may prohibit some users. It is our hope to make every visitor’s experience in the museum both informative and entertaining and we ask that wheelchair users let us know in advance of their planned date so that we can make as much preparation as possible. It is the museum’s policy to charge admission to disabled users but to allow any carer free admission. The museum can provide a wheelchair free of charge if required.
There are a limited number of parking spaces for Blue Badge holders in the harbour area.
“Wonderful to see so many children encouraged to have such fun in a museum. Keep it up!”
