About Us

Tenby Museum & Art Gallery stands as the oldest independent museum in Wales. Established in 1878 it continues to develop its collections and displays to preserve and promote the history of the town, giving a sense of place and heritage to both the local person and the visitor.

The museum is a registered charity (number 1169435).

Awards

The museum has won many national awards. Among its many achievements are:
Full Accreditation – the awarding of this by Arts Council England/MALD shows that the museum is dedicated to following the highest standards laid out for museums to follow.
