Capturing Collections Storytelling Club videos on YouTube

As part of the Welsh Government’s Winter of Wellbeing scheme, the museum is developing Capturing Collections: a Saturday Storytelling Club.  Renowned storyteller, and museum trustee, Phil Okwedy, has been training up four young aspirational storytellers in the art and craft of storytelling, in order to run the once a month club at the museum.  The planned stories for the club will be based around objects from the museum collections, chosen by the storytellers. These two hour sessions have been filmed, then edited to short films (with Welsh subtitles) to try and illustrate what we hope to do.  The young storytellers are both inspired and inspirational and we look forward to this becoming a more regular feature in April.  The films are now on Youtube, with a link in this blog.  There will be two more films to follow shortly, showing the progression of the project  Enjoy!
